What Is Our Recruitment Pool?
Our Recruitment Pool allows us to connect with great candidates interested in working as Disability Support Workers.
If you’re shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an interview. If you’re deemed suitable, you will be placed in our Recruitment Pool.
As new vacancies arise, we will contact you to see if there is match with your availability. While timing can vary, we will endeavour to offer a role within a reasonable time following your interview and we will keep in touch with you throughout your time in the pool.
This recruitment pool covers both set roster lines and relief shifts covering leave across multiple locations. We’ll match you with options that suit your availability, and when a suitable line or relief opportunity becomes available, we’ll contact you first.
About the Role

Deliver person‑centred support in Ability WA’s disability accommodation
-
Help with daily living: cooking, cleaning, shopping, household tasks
-
Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, hoisting
-
Support community access: appointments, social outings, activities
-
Support customer transport needs, which includes driving wheelchair‑accessible vehicles
-
Carry out admin duties including incident reports, progress notes, medication documentation, and interpreting medical information
Shift Information
You will have the option of either:

Permanent roster with set shifts matched to your availability and customer needs

Relief shifts covering leave across multiple locations (roster posted in advance)
Shifts are fixed and cannot be changed for a minimum of six months
May include sleepover shifts
About You

Compassionate, reliable and customer‑focused
-
Certificate III/IV in a caring discipline (highly desirable)
-
Minimum 6 months experience in a caring role in the disability sector

Comfortable providing all aspects of daily living and personal care to all genders
-
Able to work across varied shifts and locations
-
Must be able to drive wheelchair‑accessible vans

Hold or be willing to obtain: National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid (HLTAID011), and a valid Driver’s Licence

Australian work rights required (no visa sponsorship available)
