As an Employment Transition Coordinator at Ability WA, you will support employees with complex support needs to achieve positive and sustainable employment outcomes within our Social Enterprise. You will coordinate and oversee employment supports, acting as a central point of contact for employees, their families and internal stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Goodwill support team to ensure services are delivered in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements, organisational policies and best practice, while promoting inclusive employment and a positive workplace experience for all employees.
This position is a Permanent Full‑Time role based within Ability WA’s Goodwill Engineering.
As an Employment Transition Coordinator, you will:
Build, develop and maintain positive relationships with supported employees with complex support needs and their key stakeholders
- Provide oversight, mentoring and supervision to supported employees, including managing day‑to‑day employment matters
- Act as the primary point of contact for employment‑related enquiries and support needs
- Work collaboratively with Assistant Supervisors and oversee Employee Support Officer (ESO) training
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure new employees feel welcomed and understand their role
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation including CMS records, NDIS reports and support plans
- Report, manage and monitor incidents, investigations and complaints in line with policy and procedures
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement, service quality and positive working relationships

About You:
What we’ll need to help kick‑start your journey with us:
- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Health, Disability, Social Services, Behavioural or Social Sciences (preferred)
- Experience supporting or supervising people with disability, including individuals with complex support needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Well‑developed organisational, planning and problem‑solving skills
- Understanding of the NDIS and the Quality & Safeguarding Framework
- Strong alignment with Ability WA values and commitment to inclusive employment practices
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence

- NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation Module
- First Aid Certification (HLTAID010 or HLTAID003 minimum)
