About the role

As a Clinical Lead Social Worker, you will:
- Lead and champion contemporary Social Work practice across Ability WA.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on complex customer matters.
- Support leaders and teams in navigating customer safeguarding, child safety, human rights and risk management concerns.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and professional development to Social Workers.
- Support customer outcomes through consultation on matters such as supported decision-making, guardianship, family capacity building, psychosocial wellbeing, grief and loss.
- Promote culturally responsive, person-centred and evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the future growth of Social Work services at Ability WA.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful outcomes for customers and families.
Your Story
You're an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about advocacy, safeguarding and empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.
You enjoy supporting others to build confidence and capability and are recognised for your ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism, empathy and sound clinical judgement. You thrive on collaboration and are committed to strengthening practice across teams through coaching, guidance and shared learning.

Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work.
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Significant post-graduate Social Work experience, preferably within disability, community, health or allied health settings.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership, mentoring and/or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary Social Work practice, safeguarding principles and person-centred approaches.
- Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound understanding of the NDIS, Quality and Safeguarding Framework and current disability sector practices.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and positive customer outcomes.
- Alignment with Ability WA's values and purpose.
You will also hold, or be able to obtain:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
