An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ability WA as a Housing Engagement Coordinator on a Full-Time basis. This role plays a key part in helping new and existing customers access the home and living supports that best meet their needs and goals.
As part of our Housing & Living team, you will support customers through every stage of their journey — from initial enquiry, through compatibility assessment, to moving into their new home. You will also develop strong relationships with referral partners, families, guardians and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) providers to ensure a positive, seamless onboarding experience.
About the Role
As a Housing Engagement Coordinator, you will:
- Engage directly with customers, families, guardians and key stakeholders to understand home and living goals and match suitable options.
- Build and maintain strong networks with SDA providers, referral partners, Support Coordinators, therapists and internal teams.
- Support customers through the full onboarding process, including assessing compatibility for vacancies and alternative living support models.
- Work closely with existing customers to understand housemate preferences and optimise matching.
- Collaborate with the Housing Engagement Lead on establishing new homes, managing house logistics, and preparing for handover to the Community Services operations team.
- Represent Ability WA at events and expos to promote our home and living supports.
Administration & Reporting
You will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation and customer information.
- Preparing intake assessments, customer snapshots, SIL quotes, Rosters of Care (ROC), house rosters, and risk assessments.
- Monitoring key performance indicators including occupancy and vacant days.
About You
You will bring:
- A sound understanding of the disability sector and the NDIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and collaborative approach.
- Experience with NDIS planning processes, plans and quoting.
- Experience in home and living support services or relevant disability sector experience.
- The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Well‑developed computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable).

- The right to work in Australia and ability to obtain:
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- COVID‑19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current and valid C‑class driver’s licence.
